Join the Wild Leek Farm CSA

For anyone new to the CSA model, CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. Community members reserve a season’s worth of locally grown, freshly picked, produce through the pre-purchase of a season’s share. This in turn offers farmers the financial support, when output is at its greatest, to cover pre-season expenses such as seeds, soil amendments, tools, and other equipment.

The Wild Leek Farm CSA runs from mid-June, through to the last week of October. Each week you will get to come out to the farm and choose your vegetables from what we have to offer at that time. Picking up at the farm gives you the opportunity to get to know your farmers, ask questions, say hello to other CSA members, and get a first hand look at how the season is progressing in our market garden.  Weekly share pick up is currently scheduled for Wednesday afternoons. Where pick up is not possible, delivery is available for the full season, or as needed, for a $5/week fee. You will also be invited to join our CSA members’ Facebook Group to receive progress updates, farming videos, recipe sharing and more.

We are offering two share sizes for 2019:

Family size shares (4-5 people) will generally consist of 8-10 items per week. The cost for the 2019 season is $650.00 plus a $10.00 refundable tote deposit.

The half share (1-2 people) will consist of 4-5 items or half quantities of the larger share i.e. where a family will receive a one pound bag of baby lettuce, the half share will receive a half pound bag. The cost for the 2019 season is $325.00 plus a $10.00 refundable tote deposit.

Requests for payment plans will be considered, please contact us by email to discuss.

We are excited to announce the addition of a fruit and flower share this season. Stay tuned for more info as the final details are put in place.
